Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DevUtils (“the site”), available at devutils.run. By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Use of the service

DevUtils provides free, browser-based developer utilities. You may use the tools for any lawful purpose, whether personal or commercial. You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to disrupt its operation, abuse its API endpoints, or use it in violation of any applicable law.

2. No warranty

The site and all tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability. While we strive for correctness, we do not guarantee that any output is error-free. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevUtils and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools — including any loss of data or damages resulting from inaccurate output.

4. Security and obfuscation tools

Tools described as “minify”, “obfuscate”, or “pack” make code harder to read but provide no security guarantee and can be reversed. Encryption tools use the password you supply; if you lose that password, your data cannot be recovered. You are solely responsible for managing your own keys, passwords, and sensitive data.

5. Third-party services

Some tools rely on third-party services (for example, Google Public DNS, IP lookup providers, and the GitHub and npm APIs). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these external services. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Intellectual property

The DevUtils name, design, and original content are the property of the site operator. Any content you input remains yours; we claim no ownership over it.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
